Salk Institute

2 designers, 1 intern, 1 illustrator, 1 videographer, 1 photographer and 1 old school graphic artist.
Salk Institute in-house design studio.

This is place of of cross-pollination, scientist will interact with different fields.
At Salk Institute, they look for scientist doing interesting stuff.

It doesn't matter what they do, it doesn't matter if it isn't communicated effectively.

Think outside the box, that is what they are looking for.

"Hope lies in dreams, in imagination, and in the courage of those who dare to make dreams into reality." Jonas Salk

Thanks to Maximo Escobedo which gave us great tools to be used in this journey.

EVOKE!

We need poeple to notice, to spread out message across.

There is beauty in details.
BE YOURSELF!

The more time you spend. the more intimate it will get, and the more value you will add to it.

Design indeed can be personal, it's specific for a human being.
The strategy is to design where our style and the need of the project meet.

Everything I do, I do it for love.

Sean Adams Interview

Make sure we are working at our very best, always.

The more work you spend and work it, the better it gets. Let's get back to basics.

Embrace the idea and deal with the fact that clients usuallyt have the best idea; however, they just don't know how to articulate it. WE DO NOT SPEAK THE SAME LANGUAGE

Tips:
-Write things down, all the time. Use symbols, combine them.
-What is the absolut wors thing you could do? Try it!
-Take as much as you put in it.

DESIGN CHOOSES YOU.

DESIGN MAKES CAPITALISM WORK.
Ultimately, it is all about money; and networking.

Project 1: Mood Board.

Incorporating a single mood board that would express and encourage myself to create a powerful and effective identity as a designer was a great challenge; indeed, I was able to tweak and push forward through this assignment ending up with a much greater tool.

I used my personal space, my room, and created an inspiration wall. I posted mood boards from past projects that had helped them to succeed and I added compositions made on some spare time.
This will become my canvas for this upcoming year while working on my portfolio, adding and removing, whatever is needed in order to boost my inspiration. A big blank spot was left for current projects.
